A five minute walk east takes you to some of the trendiest little shopping streets in Paris. If shopping is your love, the cutting edge shops in the rue des Francs-Bourgeois are close by. A three minute walk north brings you to one of the finest street markets for antiques and gourmet foods. Ten minutes' walk south and you're standing at Notre-Dame Cathedral on the Seine. On rue Rambuteau, all the food we go to Paris for can be found in a single block. This apartment is a very spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment located in a landmarked 17th century courtyard in Paris ' historic Marais district. The only slight inconvenience is that the 2 bedrooms are not independent: one has to go through a first bedroom in order to reach the second one; the first bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom a single bed, and there is a brand new very comfortable sofa-bed for 2 guests in the dining room. This splendid and exclusive apartment is located in the heart of the Marais, one of the most ancient and picturesque parts of Paris, characterized by its unique 17th century buildings and elegant stores and restaurants. For visitors who wish to explore Paris on foot, this is an excellent point from which to do so, for the marvellous Marais district includes the Place des Vosges, Picasso Museum, Carnavalet Museum, Hotel de Ville and of course the Louvre. Notre Dame and the Ile St Louis are just 10mn away on foot. This exclusive apartment, fully renovated in March 2006, is on the 6th floor (with elevator) of a registered historical building dated 1663. It has a very open view from its numerous windows. On the main floor of this two-level apartment are the large livingroom/dining room with comfortable sofabed, table seating 6, TV, and stereo, as well as a fully equipped kitchen (oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave oven). A large living room (with elegant white piano) is one of the pleasant surprises that greet the eye on entering. Also, the spacious modern open kitchen and bar that overlooks the living room--perfect for entertaining friends for drinks or a companionable meal. Windows open on to a typically Parisian street, full of cafes and restaurants and the buzz of passersby as they stroll along this pedestrian cobblestoned street in the heart of old Paris. Down the hall are the two simple bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two singles. There is adequate closet space for your wardrobe and there is a very modern bathroom just opposite with a wall shower and bathtub. There is a separate half-bathroom behind the kitchen. Normally, check-in time is between 2 PM and 4 PM and check-out is 10 AM.
We confirm the exact price when a reservation is booked. Prices depend on the current exchange rate of the dollar, number in the party and dates of travel. Prices quoted include heat, electricity, towels, linen, cleaning fees, taxes and our fees - unless otherwise stated. Charges for telephone calls are extra. Most properties require a refundable breakage/damage deposit.
